Summary
IceStone durable surfaces are made from recycled glass and concrete. It can be shaped, cut water jet, inlaid, mounted vertically or horizontally. There are currently 24 standard colors in the line. Custom colors can be made upon request.
How is it used
IceStone surfaces can replace mined or engineered stone and are often used for countertops, flooring, and pavers.
How is it made
This material is made with 100% recycled glass in a cement matrix. The recycled glass used in this product diverts hundreds of tons of glass from landfills yearly. IceStone is located in a renovated, day-lit factory in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Technical specifications
IceStone precast slabs are manufactured to the following standard dimensions: 52½” wide by 96” long, 1¼” (3 cm) thick, and weigh about 14 lbs per square foot.
IceStone surfaces are stronger than marble. Unlike petrochemical-based materials, IceStone surfaces do not fade with UV exposure. IceStone surfaces are heat and scratch resistant.
